Terms of Service

Last updated: 26 July 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of this website and the coaching and retreat services provided by Open Ground, operated by Sheelagh O’Neill (“Open Ground”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By purchasing a service or using this website, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

Open Ground provides private coaching and small-group retreats. Specific inclusions, duration and pricing are set out on the relevant service page at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any service, with notice where reasonably practicable.

2. Nature of coaching

Coaching is a forward-focused, developmental process. It is not medical, psychiatric, psychological, psychotherapeutic or crisis support, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified healthcare professional. If you are experiencing a mental-health crisis or medical emergency, contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional.

3. Client responsibilities

You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. You are responsible for selecting services appropriate to your circumstances, for the decisions you make, and for disclosing any information relevant to your safe participation.

4. Bookings and payment

Bookings are confirmed only once full payment (or the applicable deposit or instalment) has been received via Stripe. Coaching sessions are scheduled through Calendly following payment. Prices are shown in Euro unless otherwise stated and are inclusive of any applicable taxes where required.

5. VIP Coaching

VIP Coaching is provided on a monthly basis with a minimum commitment of six months (minimum total €6,000). Monthly fees are billed automatically by Stripe. Cancellation and non-renewal terms are set out in the cancellation policy.

6. Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds

Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds are governed by our Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Confidentiality

We treat information shared during coaching as confidential and will not disclose it, except where required by law, where necessary to prevent serious harm, or with your prior consent.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this website and any materials provided as part of our services (including exercises, worksheets and recordings) are owned by Open Ground or its licensors and are provided for your personal use only. You may not reproduce, redistribute, resell or publish them without our prior written consent.

9. No guaranteed outcomes

Coaching supports reflection, planning and decision-making. Personal, professional or financial outcomes depend on many factors outside our control and cannot be guaranteed.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the services or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid to us for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special losses, including loss of profits, income or opportunity. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Retreats

Retreat participation is subject to the specific booking terms and any health, safety or venue requirements notified prior to departure. Travel, insurance and personal expenses are your responsibility. Travel insurance covering cancellation, medical treatment and personal belongings is strongly recommended.

12. Website use

You agree not to use this website in any way that is unlawful, or that could damage, disable or impair the site or interfere with any other party’s use of it.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time you purchase a service will apply to that purchase.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. The courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, subject to any mandatory consumer rights available to you in your country of residence.
